FAQs
Learn it all before teeing off.
Registration can be done by completing the form on the registration page or by emailing your team to eric@forebrightfutures.ca. It's important to note that payment for the team must be received to confirm your spot. Teams that have paid will be registered ahead of those who just submit the team/golfers.
We created the tournament with two goals in mind: to raise funds for a great cause in the Cooper Robertson Foundation, which supports the Sick Kids TSC Clinic in Toronto and more importantly, to have a fun day out in the process.
The tournament will be held at Cardinal Lakes Golf Club, 105 South Pelham Rd, Welland, ON. We will be starting the BBQ at 12:00pm with a shotgun start for golf at 1:00pm.
The tournament is a 4 person scramble. Scramble is a format where everyone will Tee-Off and then the team will pick what they determine to be the best shot/result. The team will then play their next shot from there. This will repeat until the hole is completed and the whole process will start again on the next hole.
The round of golf is typically five hours. If you choose to participate in the BBQ before and dinner after, you should arrive an hour before and expect to be one and a half to two hours after golf. This means, depending on your participation level, the total time would range between five and eight hours.
At this time, we are accepting registrations for teams of four only. If you are looking for a team to play with, reach out to Eric at eric@forebrightfutures.ca and we'll see if we can help you find a team.
The registration fee covers the cost of a round of golf with cart, a BBQ lunch with a sausage/burger and drink as well as dinner after the round during prizes.
No. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to determine how much would be deductible based on the entry fee covering non-charitable costs such as the golf fees, dinner and prizes.
A pre-golf BBQ will be provided which includes a burger or sausage and a drink. Following golf, dinner will be provided but all other drinks during golf and dinner will have to be purchased from either the bar or the beverage cart.
Yes! There are no clubs available for rental at the course.
Yes! Standard golf attire applies. This usually consists of, but is not limited to, a collared polo shirt and khakis or golf pants/shorts.

No! We welcome all skill levels to participate in the tournament! It's more about having fun than how good you are!
